Quality Dental School of Technology, Inc. was founded by Joyce Bryant.  The school has offered theory and hands-on training since 1999. Originally the school was a dental laboratory in East Orange, established by Dr. Bryant in 1984. When she became aware of the lack of lab qualified technicians in the dental industry, Dr. Bryant's future goals expanded to opening a dental technology school. Quality Dental School of Technology, Inc., is a vocational and educational program that is designed to prepare adults for employment in the dental field. It is, at a minimum, a six month program designed to prepare students to perform job requirements in a modern and up-to-date dental facility.

The concept of the Dental Laboratory Technician is a relatively new one. It grew into maturity as scientific methods of dentistry advanced and the idea of preventing and correcting dental problems grew. The tasks of a Dental Laboratory Technician are technical and time-consuming. The dentist himself would not be able to carry this burden alone. Thus, due to necessity, this profession was born. Our educational objective is that our students understand and accomplish learning all that is described in our "Course Outline." The student who performs well in this technology may expect a rewarding career after successfully completing this course.

This course of study is devised to afford the student every opportunity to gain the knowledge and skills required for entry-level employment. The degree to which the student achieves this goal and any others which develop along the way, is only limited by their personal commitment to themselves.
